In a small amount of oil
brown the steak on both sides and add salt and pepper. Remove it from the heat
and keep warm on a serving platter.
In the frying pan add a
pat of butter to the oil and brown the onion.
Add a spoonful or two of hot
broth to soften the onion. Then place it over the steak on the serving platter.
Grind black pepper onto
the steak when serving to further enhance its flavor.
