Features: Wheat cous cous. Typical dish of North Africa and western Sicily, it is an ingredient with ancient history consisting of agglomerates, that is grains of semolina steam cooked. This dish is a very popular and trendy, even among young people.
Storage: 2 years at room temperature
Uses: It is advisable to cook for 5 minutes an amount of cous cous with
the equal weight of water. Bring the salted water to a boil, add a
tablespoon of oil, turn off the flame and drizzle the cous cous into the
pot, stirring continuously. Cover and wait for the complete absorption
of the water, separate the cous cous by mixing before serving, season to
taste. Excellent as a base for the main dishes with meat, fish and
vegetables. It goes well with fragrant spices and aromas with strong
flavours. It is a dish that can be served either hot or cold and exalts
all the flavours of the Mediterranean cuisine. Strong presence in the
buffet lunches and aperitifs.
