A Mexican recipe, chilli is a slightly spicy meat and kidney bean sauce which spread thanks to the “Reinas del Chili”, door to door saleswomen of Mexican origin who sold the dish on the streets of San Antonio (Texas). The 100% Italian beef is browned in extra virgin olive oil, onion and garlic, and then joined by tomatoes, peppers, spices and a sprinkling of cocoa powder and cooked slowly to bring out the qualities of the meat and create a harmony of flavours. The dish is completed with red and black beans which thanks to Evolution technology are cooked gently to ensure they remain firm and whole. The final result is a finely-balanced product packed with flavour.
Ideal as a main course or as a filling for burritos, tortillas, flatbreads and sandwiches. An excellent standalone dish served with rice.
